Types of membership 

Ordinary Membership

This comprises Sole proprietorships and Micro-enterprises. Registration fee for this category is 10,000 Uganda shillings paid once and a subscription fee of 100,000 shillings. Ordinary membership carries the following incentives.

  • Information on the new markets is provided
  • Free training in record keeping
  • Help in business plan drafting and business forecasting
  • Links to affordable business finance can be extended Silver Membership This category comprises of medium sized companies. Registration fee for this category is 10,000 Uganda shillings paid once and 250,000 shillings for subscription.

Silver membership

carries the following incentives.

  • Reference services to access finance
  • Access to use entrepreneurship funds
  • Free publication in the chamber directory and news letters
  • Benefits from business to business networking forum

Gold Membership

This category is open to all large enterprises employing more than 20 people. Registration fee for this category is 10,000 Uganda shillings and subscription fee is 500,000 shillings. Benefits for this category include;

  • Free advertising on UNCCI website
  • Participation in trade mission on discount rate
  • Strategic business information /opportunities within the region
  • Free copies of UNCCI publications
  • Negotiations on concession terms like accommodation, transportation, air travel, security to mention but a few

Associate Member.

This category is open to all Multi Nationals, associations, large corporate companies, industries with more than 50 employees. Registration fee is 10,000 and subscription fee 1,000, 000 million Uganda shillings. In addition your organization will be able to benefit from the general services that the chamber of commerce offers. Benefits for this category are;

  •  Customized in house training for staff
  •  Subsidized business trade mission 
  • Access to high end international financing 
  • Annual associates business to business dinner
  • Training for high value business and supply chain procedures 
  • UNCCI negotiates on concessions terms like accommodation, transportation, air travel and security for its members

Requirements for membership

  • A person of 18 years and above
  • A company registered by the Registrar of Companies
  • Having a business premise and address Membership Fees
  • Registration fee of 10,000 Uganda Shillings (about 5 U.S $) paid once.
  • Subscription fees at Ordinary, Silver, Gold and Associate levels
