Korean Market Briefing and Project Workshop at the Sheraton Hotel

Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) President, Olive Kigongo during the Korean Market briefing and project workshop at Sheraton Hotel recently, urged Investors from the two Countries to promote partnership because they both hold similar interests of profits only that they each have different strengths.

“Market briefing is an important step in business. Once a trader has accurate information on the given market, it usually reduces challenges and costs,” she said.
She also noted that over the past four decades, South Korea has demonstrated incredible economic growth and global integration to become a high-tech industrialized economy.
“The strategy they used and of which i urge our Government to emulate is that the government of Korea promoted the import of raw materials and technology at the expense of consumer good and encouraged savings and investments over consumption,” Kigongo noted.
She called upon investors to continue working with UNCCI in order to help them identify the right partners for business investments.

The Korean Ambassador to Uganda, Park Jong Dae, thanked UNCCI for its continued efforts to promote trade and investment relations between the two Countries.
he also noted that the Chamber has played a very big role is making sure that all the information investors require is readily available on record time.
“Allow me ladies and gentlemen pledge that I will make efforts to ensure that more Korean firms start investing in this Country,” he promised.
