Uganda National Chamber of Commerce & Industry in conjunction with Uganda’s Embassy in Rome, Italy mobilized members of the business community to participate in the Italy-Uganda Investment & Trade Conference at Palazzo Generali. Piazza Venezia, Rome, Italy, June 20, 2017. A total of 150 participants from both the public and private sectors are expected to travel to Italy to attend. The theme of the conference is: Uganda: Investment and Trade Hub of East Africa.
The Italian Embassy in Kampala is preparing visas for the delegation, expected to travel Sunday or Monday, June 18-19, respectively. There was also a delegation from Italy from the Poultry sub-sector hosted by UNCCI three weeks ago. Historically Italy had been Uganda’s economic development partner for decades. Italy had also been supporting Uganda especially in the North in the sectors of health and education.
